Potable Water Service Restored to Additional Areas of Grizzly Flats – November 12, 2021
We are excited to report that potable water service has now been restored to five additional service areas in Grizzly Flats! Based on continued water quality sampling results and review by the Division of Drinking Water with the State of California, water use restrictions have now been lifted from areas A, C, D, H and K. The water in these areas has been declared “potable” (drinkable), and can be used without restrictions. Please refer to the following map to view the status of each service area: GFCSD_WaterServiceMap_11-12-21_FINAL.
As noted on the map, there are three areas where water service has not yet been restored: B, G and J. All homes in area G were destroyed by the fire, and area J does not have any existing service connections. Area B has one home that survived the fire. This area is located uphill from the District and requires the installation of a new pump (to replace the pumps destroyed by the fire) before water service can be restored. This applies to the District office, as well. We will be working to test and restore water in the three remaining areas in the coming weeks.

Potable Water Service Restored to Additional Areas of Grizzly Flats – October 28, 2021
We are excited to report that potable water service has now been restored to six areas of Grizzly Flats, plus our water treatment plant. Please refer to the following map to view the status of your service area: GFCSD_WaterServiceMap_10-28-21.
The “blue” areas on the map indicate areas that have water service restored. Water use restrictions have now been lifted from areas E, F, I, L, M, and N, as well as our water treatment plant, based on ongoing water quality sampling results and review by the Division of Drinking Water with the State of California. The water in these areas has been declared “potable” (drinkable), and can be used without restrictions.
Water restrictions (do not drink – do not boil / use for flushing toilets only) remain in place for all other areas until additional flushing and water quality sampling results are available to determine if restrictions can be lifted.

The “blue” areas on the map indicate areas that have water restored. Areas E, M and N and our water treatment plant have had water use restrictions lifted based on ongoing water quality sampling results and review by the Division of Drinking Water with the State of California. The water has been declared “potable” and can be used without restrictions.
Water restrictions (do not drink – do not boil / use for flushing toilets only) remain in place for all other areas, including Pine Ridge Court, until additional flushing and water quality sampling results are available to determine if restrictions can be lifted.

Water Service Restoration Schedule – September 14, 2021
We are working to restore water service to remaining residences as soon as possible. Please note that once the water is restored, it is NON-POTABLE and should only be used to flush toilets or water plants until we have been able to complete the required water quality testing. We will notify customers as soon as the water is safe for drinking, cooking, showering, and washing dishes.
